Bistro

Bistro is a collection of outdoor seats inspired by street food culture in China, designed and built for the studio event “Office is Bistro” during Tag der Nachbarn (Neighborhood Day) in Berlin. Bistro provides a low sitting surface and a tabletop for dining. A person using this stool imitates the posture of squatting while eating, which is a fun common scene in China. Made with handy tools and materials available from a local construction market, its geometrical forms and vibrant colors all contribute to a very unique user experience. By bringing the fun of casual dining to the community, Bistro can make people connect with each other more easily.
