Walden Lounge Chair

Like a real-size 3D wooden puzzle, this lounge chair – consisting of only wooden boards and a leather sheet – effortlessly recreates a sitting machine of geometry interplay.

Inserted into each other, the wooden boards compose an empty volume big enough to embrace a human body. At the same time, pressure and weight are cleverly distributed without stressing the boards. Where body touches the wood, edges are filleted to maximize comfort.
