Designer
Weng Xinyu (翁昕煜) was born in 1987 in Taizhou (台州), China. He graduated from CUC in Beijing with a major in German Studies, and later studied product design at Bauhaus University Weimar, Germany. After showcasing his graduate projects at various design fairs, he co-founded YUUE design studio to realize his design vision. In 2022, Weng became a German citizen.
Weng’s design practice centers on exploring the relationship between humans and their creations. Drawing inspiration from the dialogue between cultures and a re-discovery of traditions, he uses design as a medium to engage with social issues and express independent perspectives.
